Malaysia

The Turtle Conservation Society was created in 2011 when its founders realised that there was no organisation to protect freshwater and sea turtles in Malaysia, despite the fact that the country is home to 18 species. The Turtle Conservation Society was Malaysia’s first non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting turtles. Its goal is to help increase turtle populations, both through partnerships with other organisations and local communities and through its own programmes.

With the Foundation and its Friends

The funds raised go towards the Turtle Conservation Society’s work to protect turtles and their ecosystem around the village of Cherating.
