Agrisud International
Since 1992, Agrisud has been behind the creation of 67,000 micro-businesses in around twenty countries in Africa, Asia, South America and, more recently, France.
It works with the local population, training them in the principles of agroecology, supporting them in the application of good practices and economical production management (support with drawing up and analysing operating statements) on a technical level (promoting agroecology practices) and on an organisational level (group seed purchases, maintenance of irrigation equipment, placing produce on the market, etc.).
With the Foundation and its Friends
The partnership formed at the end of 2008 between Club Med, its Foundation and Agrisud allows Club Med to supply its resorts in 7 countries with fresh fruit and vegetables grown in accordance with the principles of agroecology while supporting over 400 micro-businesses.
In the wake of the devastating earthquake in Morocco, all donations will be allocated to Agrisud’s special fund for the region of Asni, its reconstruction and the resumption of agricultural activity (200 families receiving help).
