Fondation pour l’Enfance Terre de Paix
Created in 1979, Terre de Paix works, without discriminating, with the most vulnerable children from disadvantaged areas of Mauritius. Around 200 children, thirty of whom are residents, plus their parents, receive support from Terre de Paix, which now has children’s homes, crèches, nursery schools, the specialist school ‘L’Atelier du Savoir’ and a garden with a learning trail.
With the Foundation and its Friends
Thanks to the partnership between the Foundation and Terre de Paix, 30 young people are able to use the sports facilities at the Albion resort every week for dance, archery or swimming.
Over 500 children enjoy use of the Mini Club pool at the La Pointe aux Canonniers and Albion resorts every year. Several times a year, the young people come to the resorts for recreational days or holidays.
The funds raised will be used to support the development of Terre de Paix.
Here are some examples of projects carried out thanks to your donations:
- 6,000 educational booklets created and printed for visitors to the garden learning trail
- Creation of an area for holiday camps in the garden
